Blue Suburban Skies

"Come fairies take me out of this dull world, for I would ride with you upon the wind and dance upon the mountains like a flame." W.B. Yeats.

I cannot seem to shake this cold. It felt as though I was getting over it, but I woke up this morning stuffed up with a scratchy throat, and I have been feeling out of it all day!

Refusing this bandwagon
Mel Gibson is a slick willy, I'll grant him that. This so-called controversy he's stirred up around his movie is driving folks into the theatres. It just burns my goat, it does! And what's even more annoying is that it's all anyone can talk about on the forums. I am going to do my best to resist seeing this movie - firstly because I already know how it ends, secondly because I am sure the blood and gore will give me nightmares, and thirdly because Mel certainly can do without my $10. He's going to make boatloads I'm sure from his new line of jewelry, including "nail pendants" - hmmm.... yes, that sounds good, I will wear a crucifixion stake around my neck.

But, speaking of bandwagons, I encourage everyone to hop aboard the gay marriage bandwagon. Even Rosie's doing it! Yes, technically, the mayor is breaking state law. But c'mon, people, smile on your brother, what harm does it do to you, really?
