Wankering Around
Here it is, almost July, and what do I have to say for myself? I am totally sweaty in the armpits. That's about it. Except I have been the weirdest mood lately (well, really, when am I not in some kind of mood). I feel like something is on the verge of happening; either that, or I am on the verge of collapse. I just think that a verge is involved. Despite the sweaty armpits, today has been quite nice. Another bonus day to myself (the boss called in sick), a lovely lunch in the park with a coworker, actually stopping to chat with other coworkers (what is this, bizarro world?), and plans to go down to the pub this evening for some trivia and yummy beer.
Speaking of bizarro world, I think I have seen only 5 new movies since the last time I posted about movies. They are
A Love Song for Bobby Long (I actually saw this one a second time before watching another new one - there is something so wrong about that. But, still, it is a good movie.)
In Good Company
Star Wars Episode III
Kicking and Screaming
The Interpreter
I am going to make it my mission to see at least 3 new movies during this 3-day weekend, and at least one of those movies will be in the theatre.
So I have been taking this copyediting class. It keeps me out of trouble on Saturday mornings, but it has been pretty boring. Mostly because the teacher is just so dull. I use the time to work on my stories and plan out my projects. However this class has also forced me to get to know the bus system a little more intimately than I wanted to. There are a lot of sketchy characters who ride the non-commute cross-bay buses.
A realistic To Do list for the summer:
* Practice parallel parking
* Wear earrings (I need to get those sterling silver ones for newly pierced ears)
* Buy a really great skirt
* Get new glasses (I have already scheduled the Dr appt for this)
* Finish two stories
* Take better care of my feet (I love the bare foot weather, but the weather does not love my bare feet)
* Buy a plane ticket to Chicago
