And it burns, burns, burns...

No, I am not talking about Joaquin Phoenix's smoldering gaze, although that could certainly burn the panties off any schoolgirl. I am talking about the song “Ring of Fire,” which I had no idea was written by June Carter. But that was just one of many tidbits I learned from Walk the Line, which I saw on Friday. I loved it. But I knew I would. I am a fan of both Joaquin (who will always have a special place in my heart from when I knew him as Leaf and he was in Space Camp) and Reese (who will always have a special place in my heart from when she hummed along to “That’s Alright Mama” in The Man in the Moon). One tidbit that was not revealed in the movie, that I just learned the other day, was that June Carter was actually 3 years older than Johnny. So in the movie, when 12-year-old JR is listening to the radio, and the announcer says, "that was 10-year-old June..." they were fudging on the dates. I hate when movies do that!
